Information
Most states are
considered to be “immediate” – meaning that
you can send in your appointment paperwork with your first
case. However, some states require “prior appointments” and
each carrier interprets those regulations in their own way.
Please click on the icon below to see if your state is considered “immediate” or “prior
appointment”
Carrier
Appointment Regulations
In “prior appointment” states, it can take anywhere
from 4-8 weeks for an appointment to become final. In these
states, we cannot accept any business until the state notifies
us that your appointment is official. There are no exceptions
to this – so please plan ahead.
When submitting appointment forms
be sure to include copies of the following:
1. Current insurance license
2. Copy of completed CE requirement (if required in your state)
3. State required forms (see carrier listings)
You can fax your appointment forms
to 650-692-5204. Or, mail them to Northstar’s Home
Office at:
P.O. Box 4007
Burlingame, CA 94011
Attention: Ed Williams
DO NOT SEND THE APPOINTMENT FORMS DIRECTLY TO THE CARRIER.
THEY WILL NOT PROCESS THEM UNLESS THEY COME IN FROM AN MGA
OFFICE.
